KSPE Outreach Events

Last year the Bluegrass Chapter of KSPE selected the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk as an outreach opportunity. We were successful at making an impactand able to raise $445 to support the fight against Breast Cancer. However, one area that we lacked was race day participation. This year we are challenging the Chapter not only to break last year’s fundraising effort, but to increase our number of runners and walkers at the event.
What: Making Strides 5k Run/Walk
When: October 28th, Race starts at 2pm
Where: Coldstream Park, Newtown Pike, Lexington
Come on out and join us for a good cause. Bring your family! It is a great way to teach your children how to give back. One of my favorite parts of last year’s event was hearing my oldest son Evan (4 yr old) talk about how many dogs that were walking to help the sick people. We look forward to seeing you there.
